The Otis Recreation and Parks Commission is offering pickleball at the Farmington River School Gymnasium on 2 courts in the gym on Tuesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm. Racquets are available for use on Tuesdays. Two additional courts are painted on the playground behind the school. Nets are available for use in a lockbox behind the school. Otis Pickleball provides an inclusive, welcoming environment for Otis residents and visitors to actively participate in the sport of Pickleball. It is easy to learn, fun to play, socially oriented, and promotes wellness and vitality among players from 9 to 99 and all backgrounds.

Outdoor Courts
Even though school is out for the summer, there will be summer school from July 8th through August 8th, so the outdoor courts are not available during the school day. Additionally, there will be maintenance on the school grounds that may impact play. We will try to update the schedule as we hear of changes.
To book a court (Click/Tap) on “Book a Court” and a calendar will appear. It will show all bookings.
From the calendar (C/T) a date that you want to schedule a court. Next (C/T) the green Refresh button when the page loads. From the drop-down window select a game type for any time that indicates “Available”. Your choices are: Singles-full, Singles-need partner, Double-full, or Doubles-need partner.
You should select game type of full if all partners have been contacted and agreed to time. (C/T) the “Book” button adjacent to the court you are scheduling. This will reserve a court and time. If you booked Singles-f or Doubles-f, you will next navigate to the “My Bookings” page.
If you don’t have a partner, you may invite a partner from the list of members. When choosing a “need-partner” game type, (C/T) the “Book” button. Next a choose partner drop-down window with a list of members appears. Choose a partner and (C/T) the green “Book Now” button. An email will be sent to the invited partner and you will see the court in “My Bookings” status as “pending”.
You can cancel your reservation from “My Bookings”. We ask that you do cancel if you are not planning on using that time slot.
